For example, many countries require their citizens are of a certain age to legally gamble. Please do not use Global Gamester if prohibited in your territory.
Does Global Gamester act as "the house"?
No. Global Gamester does not act as "the house", the way a casino operates. Instead, Global Gamester collects a membership fee and provides services for its members to meet and place wagers against each other. Global Gamester is a "host", as opposed to "the house". Compare Global Gamester services to a Soccer club collecting entry fees to host a tournament with a cash prize.

Do I need an X-Box™ or PlayStation2™ to place console bets on Global Gamester?
Strictly speaking, no. You can place a bet as soon as you have an account and setting up an account does not require that you own either one. However, you must have access to the game you are betting on so you can play. This requires that either you or a friend have the console, the game, and a connection to the Internet to play online.
Console Wager Information
Is there a maximum or minimum bet?
Yes. The actual limits are based on your account type. All account types have the same minimum bet, but the maximum bet increases as your membership level increases. Click here for specific limits.
How do I find people to bet against?
Global Gamester offers a real-time online members page that shows who's online, who wants to play, and what games they are interested in. There is also messaging between members to keep in touch. Global Gamester is not only a mediator between competing players, but also a fun meeting place for gamers from around the world to meet and interact!
Can I give my opponent a spread to even the competition?
Yes. You may offer a spread in your favor or your opponent's. Spreads must be in decimals (e.g. 7.5 instead of 7) to avoid a push (tie). A point spread allows two players who are unevenly matched to level the playing field and place a fair bet.
Why do point spreads have to be in decimal form and not whole numbers?
This is to reduce or eliminate the likelihood of a push (tie), in which neither player wins the bet and the money is returned.
Outcome Verification / Dispute Resolution
Is Global Gamester able to verify who wins?
For supported titles (marked with an * asterisk in the game selection drop down), Global Gamester is able to verify who won the game. It is the winner's duty and responsibilty to report their victory to Global Gamester after they play. In the rare event the outcome is not agreed to, Global Gamester is able to verify which member actually won.
Do I have to report the outcome of a console game after I play?
The winner of the game has to report and confirm their victory. The loser does not have to do anything.
How does Global Gamester know who wins a wager?
The winner of the console wager reports their victory to Global Gamester after they play. If the outcome is
disputed, Global Gamester contacts the 3rd party company that designed the game. This only applies to console
head to head wagers. In tournament wagers, Global Gamester is responsible for validating and reporting all
outcomes. Sport bet outcomes are also the responsibility of Global Gamester. Members cannot dispute sport bet outcomes.
What if there is a dispute over the wager outcome?
When two players both claim they won the console wager, the wager is in dispute. Global Gamester contacts the company
that designed the video game to validate the actual outcome. Note that members cannot dispute sport bet outcomes.
What happens if I try to say I won when I did not?
Global Gamester takes fraud and cheating very seriously. If a member tries to report cheating that did not occur, or
claim they won a wager that they lost, they will be permanently banned from Global Gamester. Additionally, the wager
amount is automatically forfeited to their opponent. When investigating a report of cheating or disputed outcome,
Global Gamester contacts the actual third party company that designed the console game.
What is a write-in game?
A write-in game is a video game title that is not already on our list of games. Just
because a video game you own is not already in our list of games doesnt mean you cannot
place wagers on it! Note however that Global Gamester cannot validate the result of a
write-in game. If the outcome is disputed we may not be able to verify the result.
Wagers placed on write-in games should be played at your own risk and only against members you trust!
Can the outcome of a write-in game be validated?
Depending on the title, the company that designed the game may or may not have the ability to validate
the outcome of an online game. In the event the company does not support result verification,
write in game results cannot be validated. Global Gamester suggests and recommends that write-in games
only be played at your own risk and only against members you trust!

How can I bet on sports events using Global Gamester?
Global Gamester allows members to place head to head wagers on just about any sporting event
in the world! Members post bet offers on upcoming sporting events for other members to review.
If a member sees an offer they'd like to take they are only a mouse click away from "shaking hands" and
taking the bet. Global Gamester makes sports betting fun and easy!
Do I place bets against a line or against other members?
All bets on Global Gamester are head to head against aother Global Gamester members. At no time
does Global Gamester act as "the house". Sports bets are even placed head to head against other members,
but Global Gamester makes it easy to find someone to bet against.
How do I find someone to bet against?
Global Gamester members post bet offers for other members to review and take. If a member finds an
offer they would like to accept, they are only a mouse click away from "shaking hands" and taking the bet.
The member who posted the bet is notified by email if another member takes their bet. Note that if
no member takes the offer by the time the sporting event begins, the offer is cancelled and the wager amount
is returned to the member.
Can more than one member accept my bet offer?
No. Once a member accepts a sport bet offer, the offer is removed so other members cannot take the wager.
If this did not happen, a member could get locked into bets totaling more money than they can afford to payout.
Once a member accepts my offer is the bet final?
Yes. Once another member accepts a sport bet offer, both parties are locked into the bet. Bets cannot be
changed or cancelled after both parties agree to the terms.
